Permits in St. Augustine
Homes inside the city limits are permitted through the City of St. Augustine, and homes in the rest of the area through St. Johns County. Properties in the historic district can need additional review for exterior changes. We confirm which applies before the estimate is final.
Planned communities and HOAs
Many St. Augustine neighborhoods have architectural review boards and rules for work hours, dumpsters and contractor parking. We plan around them from the start so the project is not held up mid-way.
Coastal conditions
Salt air and humidity are hard on finishes near the water. We choose materials, fasteners and waterproofing with that in mind, especially on Anastasia Island and near the Intracoastal.
